  •       Use of intraoral camera – we are better able to communicate with our patients, through photos on the computer (and if necessary the photos can be emailed to specialists)
  •       We have a wonderful working relationship with a core of highly trained and skilled specialists in the immediate vicinity and into the surrounding GTA, Mississauga and Brampton
  •       Emergencies for existing and new patients are usually accommodated the same day
    • After hour emergencies can be seen at the Dental Emergency Service at Yonge and St. Clair.  Their number is listed on our answering machine.
  •       Payment is due at the time of service and we accept major credit cards, Amex, Visa, Master Card, Debit and cheques.  Codes and fees are submitted electronically to insurance carriers.  This ensures patients are reimbursed quickly, often within a few days.
  •       Our fees are based on the current Dental Fee Guide issued by the Ontario Dental Association.

For Children
We enjoy having children in our practice.  We encourage early visits to the office to familiarize the child with the office environment.  Quite often we suggest the child accompany their parents to their appointment to observe and perhaps have a ride in the dental chair.   Prizes are provided at the reception desk after each appointment.  A new Touch-2-Play video console along with a Lego table and books are provided in the waiting room.  We want the children to feel comfortable and at home.
The actual first visit may be no more than counting teeth. If the child is co-operative, a gentle cleaning and perhaps a fluoride application with a cotton swab might be provided.

For Adults
The new patient will be asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding personal information, medical history and past dental history.  An initial examination is performed by Dr. Ron followed by a professional cleaning provided by our hygienist.  In an attempt to limit radiation exposure (even though we take digital x-rays), we will request recent radiographs from a previous dental office.  This also decreases costs. Any required restorative procedures would be scheduled at subsequent appointments.
Recall appointments are usually booked with the hygienist for a cleaning (scaling, polishing and oral hygiene review) followed by an examination by the dentist, Dr. Ron.  The interval between cleanings is based on the needs of the individual patient.
